Blacksburg, Va. —  One year before he went on a shooting spree that killed 32 faculty and students at Virginia Tech, Seung-Hui Cho wrote a paper for English class about that very subject, The Washington Post reported.

Several sources told the paper there is an eerie similarity between a fictional paper Cho wrote and the massacre inside Norris Hall on April 16 and was described by one as a “kind of blueprint” for the events that followed.

Virginia Tech University was required to hand over all of Cho’s writings to a panel appointed by Gov. Timothy Kaine, but this one was omitted at first and only recently did the panel receive a copy. The paper has not been released to the public.

According to the Post story, some of the words in Cho’s articles were the same ones he spoke in a videotape he made the morning of the deadliest shooting by an individual in U.S. history. Cho killed himself following the massacre.
