Do you remember this tiny yet crucial element that Stark is creating at the beginning of the story ? Yes the ARK reactor. I don't remember what the letters stand for, but I do remember that, watching the film and hearing about this fictional reactor, I was like 'hmmm, palladium, plasma, confinement, I may be wrong, but this does seem inspired by something real'. I've submitted a lot of queries to google, cross checked, tried other subject with similar purposes, and I think I've found the original 'real-world' inspiration for the ARK reactor : the WB-7. If this technology hold on its promises, and the big oil doesn't suppress it (No thats not another conspiracy theory) it could really change our world.
