WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Seven years after the Sept. 11 attacks, there is no consensus outside the United States that Islamist militants from al Qaeda were responsible, according to an international poll published Wednesday.
The survey of 16,063 people in 17 nations found majorities in only nine countries believe al Qaeda was behind the attacks on New York and Washington that killed about 3,000 people in 2001.
U.S. officials squarely blame al Qaeda, whose leader Osama bin Laden has boasted of organizing the suicide attacks by his followers using hijacked commercial airliners.
On average, 46 percent of those surveyed said al Qaeda was responsible, 15 percent said the U.S. government, 7 percent said Israel and 7 percent said some other perpetrator. One in four people said they did not know who was behind the attacks.
The poll was conducted by WorldPublicOpinion.org, a collaborative project of research centers in various countries managed by the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland in the United States.
In Europe, al Qaeda was cited by 56 percent of Britons and Italians, 63 percent of French and 64 percent of Germans. The U.S. government was to blame, according to 23 percent of Germans and 15 percent of Italians.
Respondents in the Middle East were especially likely to name a perpetrator other than al Qaeda, the poll found.
Israel was behind the attacks, said 43 percent of people in Egypt, 31 percent in Jordan and 19 percent in the Palestinian Territories. The U.S. government was blamed by 36 percent of Turks and 27 percent of Palestinians.
In Mexico, 30 percent cited the U.S. government and 33 percent named al Qaeda.
The only countries with overwhelming majorities blaming al Qaeda were Kenya with 77 percent and Nigeria with 71 percent.
Interviews were conducted in China, Indonesia, Nigeria, Russia, Egypt, France, Germany, Britain, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Mexico, the Palestinian Territories, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey and Ukraine.
The poll, taken between July 15 and Aug. 31, had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 to 4 percent.

so many questions. may mean that the 911 commission official report was nothing more than a clever ruse by a corporation calling it’s self the 911 commission we shall not look to the liars for answers no more we shall in vive the principles of false witnesses. There is and will be forgiveness for all that seek it and those that do not seek openly are welcome too.

Hi from Somerset County Pennsylvania, Very early on 9/11 we heard and saw Jon Meyer the reporter for WJAC – tv channel 6 in Johnstown interviewing people who saw Flight 93. One man said he heard “a bang” above him and looked up to see the airliner. Another said he saw the airliner with a “small white plane” flying alongside. What was the “bang” (explosive sound?). The government has not told us about the white plane. So, I knew on that day something was not true with the Media and Government reports.

Well , there were explosions BEFORE either plane hit. Google William Rodriguez about that. And there were numerous big rumbling explosions after the plane strikes, that could be heard and seen from Hobokin across the river. These were presumably near the foundations and at critical points in the central structure above. Several witnesses talked about stairwells blowing up as they were trying to descend and escape. Finally, we saw typical squib ejections shooting out below the collapsed areas ( as many as 30 stories below). Just a demolition from the top down rather than from the bottom up.
I personally believe, though so far there is no hard proof that I have seen, that it was mostly wired for demolition during construction in the 60s which would make sense since they knew the buildings would eventually need to come down. An architect who briefly worked on the WTC named Paul Laffoley (sp?) has recently stated that he overheard Arab construction engineers discussing planting explosives during construction and that those Arabs he believes were, appropriately, with Bin Ladin Construction out of Saudi Arabia. You know, the same bin Ladin family who are deeply connected to the Bush clan. But we know that is just a mere coincidence because they told us so. Anyway, he also stated that the land was owned by the Knights of Malta at that time and that the towers were nicknamed after the Rockefeller brothers, David and Nelson who were instrumental in the project.
White planes were seen around the WTC and near Shanksville. A mysterious C-130 was seen above the “plane” that hit the Pentagon. There were more bizarre discrepancies on 9/11 than probably on any other single day in all of human history, and so it was meant to be.
The elite masonic shadow government will NEVER, EVER admit that they did it. They will deny it all the way though they might use a few neocons as scapegoats. All that is important is that we all know they were behind it for the simple purpose of accelerating the New World Order into being. Since 9/11 every conceivable totalitarian plan has been implemented with more on the way pushing the human race into a nightmarish scifi dystopia that must be stopped.
