Aleister Crowley, founder of the Argenteum Astrum Order otherwise known as A.’.A.’.
Bulgaria’s Satanists will demand their sect to be recognized and promulgated as an official religion by the Bulgarian Directorate on Ecclesiastical Matters, Standart newspaper reported Monday.
There are politicians in the sect of Bulgaria’s Satanists, its head Rumen Atanasov announced Saturday in an interview for Darik Radio.
There are more than 100 people, who are members of the Argenteum Astrum Order, politicians among them, Atanasov, who is the head of the order in Bulgaria added.
According to the newly adopted law on religion, the Satanists must register themselves as a religion in court and not in the Directorate on Ecclesiastical Matters.
According to another newspaper, members of the ultra-nationalist party Ataka and of the Union of Democratic Forces also belong to the satanic order.
Modern Satanism was founded by Aleister Crowley, who created a doctrine, whose main principle is “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law”.

On the next solstice we may witness a black mass
Religion became the new wicked trend in Bulgaria on the weekend, as the minister of the Bulgarian branch of the Satanist Argenteum Astrum Order demanded this religious philosophy to become an official religion in the country.
The Satanist minister Rumen Atanasov just needs to register the religion in court, as the Directorate on Ecclesiastical Matters for some twisted reason does not want to deal with registering religions anymore.
It is so easy, you just go to the Sofia City Court, you fill in an application form and there it is. In an interview Atanasov even said there are members of a couple of the Bulgarian parties in the sect. Funny, nobody suspected there are any lovers of the Norwegian black metal in Bulgaria’s parliament. No surprise for me though, as I saw the deputy chairman of the National Assembly, Lyuben Kornezov, attending a concert of the extreme metal band Behemot in Sofia and the band is best known for their satanic lyrics.
But it will be even better for Bulgaria’s Satanists to found their own party now that they already have politicians among them. It will be one of the most eccentric parties and will add a fresh look to the already eccentric political scene.
The only problem they could maybe stir is to scribble with their pocket knives “Nargothrond” on the benches in the parliament and Ave Satanas on the voting cards of the other MPs. The only politician that will not be admitted to become a member will be Tatyana Doncheva, MP of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, as she speaks with a dialect, which will ruin the rituals because she cannot pronounce the words of the incantations correctly.
But if Satanism becomes an official religion in Bulgaria, on the next solstice we may witness a black mass, the ritual Satanists do for desecrating the symbol of Christianity – the crucifix.
