DREAM Act Offers Amnesty to 2.1 Million

PRNewswire | Oct 23, 2007

New Estimate Shows Another 1.4 Million Family Members Could Also Stay

WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Senate is currently considering the DREAM Act (S.2205). Some have argued that only 60,000 illegal immigrants would be granted amnesty annually under the Act, but a new analysis by the Center for Immigration Studies of 2007 Census Bureau data shows millions of potential beneficiaries.

— An estimated 800,000 illegal immigrants under age 17 have been
here long enough to qualify for legalization under the DREAM
Act. There are a total of 1.7 million illegal aliens estimated
to be under age 17.

— There are an estimated 900,000 parents of illegal aliens under
age 17 who qualify. It is unclear whether the government would
deport these parents.

— The DREAM Act is also unclear as to what will happen to the
siblings of legalized illegals who are themselves illegal,
but do not meet the Act’s requirements. There are an estimated
500,000 of these siblings.

— The DREAM Act also allows illegal aliens ages 18 to 29 to legalize
if they claim to have arrived prior to age 16. We estimate 1.3 million
meet this requirement. There are a total of 4.4 million illegal
aliens in this age group.

— Thus the total number of potential amnesty beneficiaries is 2.1 million
(assuming no fraud). This does not include 1.4 million siblings and
parents of qualifying illegals who may end up receiving a de facto
amnesty.

— Prior legalization programs have been plagued by fraud. One-fourth
(700,000) of those legalized in the 1986 amnesty are estimated to
have done so fraudulently.

— Given the difficultly in determining whether an applicant meets the
DREAM Act’s amnesty requirements, coupled with the overworked nature
of the immigration bureaucracy, fraud could be a significant problem.

Methodology: These estimates are based on a Center for Immigration Studies analysis of the March 2007 Current Population Survey (CPS) collected by the Census Bureau. No estimate is definitive, of course, but
the Urban Institute, the Pew Hispanic Center, and the INS have all used the March CPS to estimate the size of the illegal population. We estimated that the survey included more than 11 million illegals in 2007. This is entirely
consistent with prior research. The above numbers do NOT include those illegal aliens missed by the Census Bureau’s survey. The Department of Homeland Security and other researchers have estimated that 10 percent of
illegals are likely missed in Census Bureau surveys of this kind. Thus, the actual number of potential beneficiaries is almost certainly higher than the numbers discussed above.

We use the demographic characteristics of respondents to distinguish legal and illegal immigrants in the survey. We combine this with the estimated number of legal immigrants in the country. This method is based on some very well-established facts about the characteristics of the legal and illegal population and is consistent with other research that employs the same approach to estimate the illegal population.

Jewish power dominates at ‘Vanity Fair’

Populated by a Cohen and a Rothschild, a Bloomberg and a Perelman, the list would seem to conform to all the traditional stereotypes about areas of Jewish overrepresentation.

Jerusalem Post | Oct 11, 2007

It’s a list of “the world’s most powerful people,” 100 of the bankers and media moguls, publishers and image makers who shape the lives of billions. It’s an exclusive, insular club, one whose influence stretches around the globe but is concentrated strategically in the highest corridors of power.

More than half its members, at least by one count, are Jewish.

It’s a list, in other words, that would have made earlier generations of Jews jump out of their skins, calling attention, as it does, to their disproportionate influence in finance and the media. Making matters worse, in the eyes of many, would no doubt be the identity of the group behind the list – not a pack of fringe anti-Semites but one of the most mainstream, glamorous publications on the newsstands.

Yet the list doesn’t appear to have generated concern so far, instead drawing expressions of satisfaction and pride from the lone Jewish commentator who’s responded in writing.

Published between ads for Chanel and Prada, Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, it’s the 2007 version of “The Vanity Fair 100,” the glossy American magazine’s annual October ranking of the planet’s most important people. Populated by a Cohen and a Rothschild, a Bloomberg and a Perelman, the list would seem to conform to all the traditional stereotypes about areas of Jewish overrepresentation.

Joseph Aaron, the editor of The Chicago Jewish News, thinks it’s a list his readers should “feel very, very good about.”

“Talk about us being accepted into this society, talk about us having power in this society,” Aaron wrote this week, in apparent reference to Jewish life in the United States. “Talk about anti-Semitism being a thing of the past, talk about Jews no longer needing to be afraid to be visible and influential.”

Printed over 15 pages before an interview with Nicole Kidman, the rankings – described on the magazine’s cover as the membership of “The New Establishment” – are less than scientific, accompanied by a paragraph-long introduction that neither defines power nor describes the methodology behind the list.

Topping the rankings for the second year in a row is gentile media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who’s followed in second place by Steve Jobs, the non-Jewish co-founder of Apple and Pixar.

Highest among the Jewish entries are Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, co-listed at #3, down one from 2006. The article reported that the 34-year-old Brin and his wife “wore swimsuits as they stood under the huppa.” (Page, whose mother is Jewish, was described in the spring 2006 edition of B’nai B’rith Magazine as “raised more in the mold of his father… whose religion was technology.”)

With Americans making up the vast majority of the list, the Vanity Fair 100 is also notable for some absences. Just nine of those included are women, and only two – TV host Oprah Winfrey and rapper Jay-Z – are of African ancestry.

It’s the magazine’s readers, however, and not Vanity Fair itself, who are keeping track of New Establishment members’ gender, race and ethnicity. Though the writers often include telling details about their subjects – such as that the original last name of #89, comedian Jon Stewart, was Leibowitz – it’s up to amateur demographers to track their origins.

The approach hasn’t attracted much attention this year, but set off a Hollywood firestorm in 1994 when a reporter for England’s Spectator used that year’s New Establishment as inspiration for his own article, in which critics accused him of perpetrating harmful stereotypes about Jewish control of the movie industry. (The writer, William Cash, argued that the piece was partly meant to call attention to the contrast between the traditional, white Protestant “establishment,” and the disproportionally Jewish new version.) Considerations of background don’t figure in the Vanity Fair “Establishment,” but neither, it seems, do traditional definitions of “power” as political.

Besides New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg at #9, up 25 places from a year ago, just two elected officials – former US president Bill Clinton and former vice president Al Gore – appear on the list. Ranked at #6 and #19, respectively, the latter two are cited for their work after leaving office, not for the power they exerted through politics.

The magazine’s limited definition of power, then, constitutes areas in which Jews have long excelled, often by necessity, says Ruth Wisse, a professor of Yiddish and comparative literature at Harvard University.

In her most recent book, Jews and Power, Wisse accounts “for the achievement of Jews through the centuries,” describing it, she says, “as a consequence of their having to develop their powers of adaptation to an extraordinary degree.”

But while they’ve excelled disproportionately in areas such as business and medicine, they’ve often also limited themselves – or been limited to – fields not connected to the public exercise of power.

With the Vanity Fair rankings’ focus on leaders outside the public sphere, they may coincidentally mirror traditional Jewish patterns of achievement – and a traditional Jewish aversion to political power.

For Aaron, the list shows how “vital” Jews have become in American life. The Vanity Fair rankings, he writes, “[tell] you so much about the place of Jews in this country, about the amazing people Jews are.”

Rothschilds Move To Bankrupt European Farmers

HenryMakow.com | Oct 14, 2007

By Jean D’eau in Hungary

In a recent interview* with Lyn Forester de Rothschild we learn that she and her husband Evelyn de Rothschild are investing hundreds of millions to become the queen and the king of India`s fruits and vegetables. India is already the first world producer of fruits, and the second of vegetables and until today its production was essentially consumed by the over one billion Indian population.

Lyn and Evelyn de Rothschild have recently decided to make big money in exporting the Indian fruits and vegetables to the European and Japanese markets. The diverse agro-climatic zones of India make it possible to grow almost all varieties of fruits and vegetables while the labor cost is a tiny fraction of the European or Japanese: Lady de Rothschild is looking forward to pay the Indian workers $2 a day.

Even with the transportation and duty costs, the Indian fruit and vegetables are likely to bankrupt the European and Japanese farmers. In Europe, most of these farmers are heavily indebted as the EU paranoid sanitary norms as well as the packaging requirements of the supermarkets have forced them to invest in expensive machinery and infrastructures.

When the Indian fruits and vegetables arrive in Europe, most of these indebted farmer families will have to say goodby to their farms which will be confiscated by the banks. Many of the still remaining independent European farmers are producing fruit and vegetables since the independent livestock and wheat farmers have already been decimated by the “market economy” making profitable only the giant exploitations in these sectors.

The foreseable bankruptcy of the European fruit and vegetables` farmers will fatally result in that entire agricultural communities will have to leave the rural areas in order to survive. In his recently published book, “The Live Earth Global Warming Survival Handbook”, David de Rothschild (son of Evelyn de Rothschild) is promoting urban living in order to economise energy and thus stop the “man-made climate warming”.

Although a growing number of independent researchers are refuting the “man-made warming” new religion, we are free to believe in it but we are also free to connect the dots and understand that the globalist elites need to have a tight physical control over mankind and that such a control is only possible if we are all herded into the cities.

Due to this project to massively import in Europe cheap Indian fruits and vegetables, many of the European farmers might have soon to experiment the “urban living” solution of David de Rothschild to the “man-made climate warming”; meanwhile, David`s parents will burn oceans of fuel to coolstore and transport the Indian fruits and vegetables all the way to Europe and Japan

There is another likely consequency of a massive increase of the Indian fruit and vegetables` exports. As said previously, the over one billion Indian population is consuming almost all of the national production. When this will be reoriented by the Rothschilds toward the vast European and Japanese markets, it`s improbable that such an increase of the Indian production can be reached that the quantity available for the Indian consumption will remain sufficient. Moreover, at that point, the logic of the market economy is likely to inflate the fruit and vegetables` prices on the Indian market which will achieve to deprive most of the locals of these important nutritional resources.

As most of the Indian households cannot afford meat, the main nutritional resources are rice, fruits and vegetables. A shortage in fruits and vegetables in India can only result in an increased malnutrition and mortality. We can also suppose that the intensive agro-technology which will have to be used by the Rothschilds` farmers in India will involve the repetitive use of pesticides which is likely to sterilize soils and poison water reserves in a few years, just as it did in many parts of Europe. It is stunning to see how the Rothschilds new agro-business project may well fit also in this other prioritary globalisation agenda known as the depopulation of the Third World.

Last but not least, considering the crucial importance of the fruits and vegetables on the Indian market, a massive price inflation of these products might well start a general inflationary cycle in the Indian economy. Just as it is the case with China, the rapidly expanding Indian economy poses a growing threat to the Western corporations. Put the inflationary worm in the Indian apple and the whole Indian economy can be infected…

Blackwater Training US Police

Wayne Madsen Report | October 15, 2007

The mercenary firm Blackwater USA is well known for the controversy involving its “shoot first, ask no questions” policy in Iraq. It is also known that Louisiana’s Department of Homeland Security contracted with Blackwater to provide public law enforcement services in New Orleans following hurricane Katrina. Blackwater is also planning to establish regional training centers in Potrero, California and Mount Carroll, Illinois, billed as Blackwater West and Blackwater North, respectively.

These training centers, in addition to Blackwater’s Lodge and Training Center in Moyock, North Carolina — Blackwater East — and a possible fourth rumored to be slated for the Pacific Northwest — Blackwater Northwest — may result in the establishment of a network of Blackwater-trained police, sheriffs, and other police units around the country. Given Blackwater’s dismal record on human rights and brutality, this spells trouble for civilian control of police and paramilitary forces in the United States, from major metropolitan areas to small rural towns.

On October 14, the Washington Post ran a story, which included photographs from Blackwater’s Moyock training center. However, what was most intriguing was a photograph of a police and military patch board at Blackwater’s headquarters that indicated the police agencies that have sent their officers to Moyock for training.

Blackwater is secretive about its non-federal, as well as its foreign clients, which the Post pointed out includes Jordan, Azerbaijan, and Burkina Faso, but a WMR inspection of the photograph of the police agencies has yielded the following list of agencies that have used Blackwater for training:

1. Iowa Department of Natural Resources

2. Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff’s Department

3. Matthews, North Carolina Police

4. Atlanta Police

5. Chillicothe, Ohio Police

6. Charleston, South Carolina Police

7. Port Chester, NY Police

8. Highland, Indiana Police

9. Unalaska, Alaska Police

10. Metropolitan Washington, DC Police

11. Charlottesville, Virginia Police

12. Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (Dulles and Reagan National Airports)

13. St. Louis County Police (Missouri)

14. Queen Anne’s County, Maryland Police

15. Prince George’s County, Maryland Police

16. FBI SWAT Team

17. Gloucester Township, New Jersey Police

18. Tempe, Arizona Police

19. New York Police Department

20. Yonkers, New York Police

21. Fairfax County, Virginia Police

22. Maplewood, New Jersey Police

23. Gastonia, North Carolina Police

24. Tampa Police

25. U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)

26. DeKalb County, Georgia Police

27. Arlington County, Virginia Police

28. Baltimore Police

29. U.S. Coast Guard

30. Suffolk, Virginia Police

31. Franklin City, Virginia Police

32. Milford, Delaware Police

33. University of Texas Police

34. Norfolk, Virginia Police

35. Ottawa-Carleton, Canada Police

36. San Bernardino County, California Sheriff

37. Plattsburgh, New York Police

38. Chicago Police Department

39. Oregon State Police

40. Los Angeles Police Department

41. Tonawanda, New York Police

42. Special Forces of Colombia

43. Jacksonville, North Carolina Police

44. Harvey Cedars, New Jersey Police

45. Elmira, New York Police

46. Department of Corrections, New Jersey

47. Lexington, Kentucky Police

48. Willimantic, Connecticut Police

49. Georgia Department of Law Enforcement

50. City of Fairfax, Virginia Police

51. Alexandria, Virginia Police Special Operations

52. Illinois State Police

53. Dallas, Texas Police

54. Hamilton, Ohio Police

55. Morganton, North Carolina Police

A number of the police departments that have been trained by Blackwater have abysmal civil rights and police brutality records, most notably the Chicago Police and Illinois State Police, both cited by former Illinois Governor George Ryan as being guilty of police misconduct in his decision to commute the death sentences of Illinois’ death row inmates. It was a decision that likely had much to do with his indictment by the Bush administration on corruption charges — political misuse of the Department of Justice that has been seen in the indictments and investigations of Alabama former Democratic Governor Don Siegelman and HealthSouth former CEO Richard Scrushy, Qwest’s former CEO Joseph Nacchio, Democratic campaign contributor Martha Stewart, Coastal Corporation’s former Chairman and Democratic contributor Oscar Wyatt, and Democratic-leaning trial attorneys around the United States, as well as the firings of several U.S. Attorneys who refused to engage in political prosecutions, and a Justice Department workup on North Carolina presidential candidate John Edwards in 2004.

The training and potential political indoctrination of police officers by the extreme right-wing and proto-fascist Blackwater, coupled with the politicization of the Justice Department and U.S. courts, has the potential for the streets of Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York, and Washington, DC, as well as Chillicothe, Harvey Cedars, and Elmira to turn as bloody as the streets of Baghdad and Fallujah.

Citizens have a distinct opportunity of confronting their local elected city, county, and town officials over Blackwater training of their police officers. Local officials should be pressured to reveal the numbers and identities of officers trained by Blackwater, the subjects covered by the training, the revenues spent, and a public demand should be made to cease and desist in such training.

CCTV to outwit Jason Bourne

The not-so-subtle ironic message of this little gem of an article is that clever guys like “rogue” CIA agent Jason Bourne need to be tracked, regardless of the fact that his character in the movie is the hero trying to save lives and catch the bad guys who are the real rogue agents! And that is just it. The whole global Orwellian control-grid system is being set up on the pretext of terror, which they have staged themselves, only to track ordinary people and the good guys who are fighting for freedom, justice and truth. It is not and never was about catching bad guys anymore than the War on Terror is.

This new system is designed by BAE, one of the most corrupt weapons manufacturers on the face of the Earth,  the University of Reading which is home of the mad scientist Kevin Warwick who wants to microchip all the world’s children, and Sagem, another scandal-ridden telecom that is designing the biometric global passports for the EU Soviet. No wonder then that this particular project is funded by the fascistic EU Politburo.

A closed circuit television (CCTV) system to outwit even the most elusive secret agent or criminal has been devised by scientists.

The flaws in the present systems were revealed in the Hollywood blockbuster The Bourne Ultimatum.

In the film, Jason Bourne, a rogue CIA agent played by Matt Damon, tells another character, via a mobile phone, how to evade the searching eyes of CCTV cameras while charting his way across the concourse of Waterloo Station in London.

The new system plugs the surveillance gap by enabling an operator to choose a suspect and follow him through dense crowds, and any subsequent changes in appearance.

It works by attaching about 30 “tags” on small clusters of pixels on the footage, fixing them on different parts of the subject. It then “locks on” to these tags, and as the subject is filmed, the computer is able to follow his or her exact progress on the film, as the target moves about.

The system has been developed by scientists at the defence company BAE Systems, the University of Reading and Sagem, a French telecoms company.

Andrew Cooke, the project manager, said: “This kind of technology would allow us to track someone like Bourne.”

Present CCTV surveillance “hits a brick wall” when a suspect mingles in a crowd or even takes off his jacket. The new system will even be able to pass information from one CCTV camera to another and can be programmed to pick out potential criminals by detecting suspicious body language.

Police officers will be able to use the technique to trace an individual’s movements on recorded footage after a terrorist attack or serious crime.

The project has been funded partly by the European Commission and is already being tested by a British store chain.

In Britain, law has long arms, eagle eyes

THEY’RE WATCHING: A wall of video monitors showing live images from closed circuit television cameras (CCTV) installed in central London. Britain has the highest number of CCTV cameras — about one for every 14 people.

Los Angeles | Oct 19, 2007

It has the world’s widest public CCTV surveillance system. Many don’t mind it, but activists fear the state is turning into Big Brother.

By Kim Murphy

It used to be that troublemakers could lounge on the planters outside the McDonald’s here and pick apart the geraniums to their hearts’ content.

A Polish immigrant hamburger salesman might complain — as if! — or someone’s grandma would tell the offending group of hoodlums to knock it off, if she dared. These days, Big Brother does the job.

The closed-circuit television camera lurking just down the street from the fast-food restaurant bellows menacingly at the first sign of danger to the flora, or a cast-off cigarette butt or fast-food wrapper, for that matter. “Pick it up,” commands a booming voice from . . . where, exactly?

The CCTV cameras in Gloucester and several other British towns now come equipped with speakers, meaning Big Brother is not only watching, he’s telling you what to do.

“When people hear that, they tend to react. They pick up the litter and put it in the bin,” said Mick Matthews, assistant chief police constable in this old cathedral city of 110,000 in the rolling Cotswold hills.

For all the increased anti-terrorism security measures in the U.S., there is probably no society on Earth more watched than Britain.

By some estimates, 4.2 million CCTV cameras, or one for every 15 people, quietly, and sometimes not so quietly, monitor the comings and goings of almost everyone — an average person is caught on camera up to 300 times a day.

Thanks in part to Britain’s long history of terrorist attacks by the Irish Republican Army, some early, high-profile law enforcement successes helped imprint the potential benefits of closed-circuit television on the popular imagination. With more than $200 million in funding since 1999, CCTV was a fixture in British cities long before attacks by Islamic militants began prompting governments around the world to step up surveillance of their populations.

Cameras are fixed on lampposts and on street corners, above sidewalks, in subways, on buses, in taxis, in stores, over the parking lots, in mobile police vans, and in some cities, even perched in the hats of police officers walking their beats.

Surprisingly clear images of Britons engaged in apparently nefarious activities have become a staple on the evening news; few of the country’s many terrorism trials unfold without the jury being presented with multiple images of the defendants purportedly carrying backpack bombs or driving up to a storehouse of explosives.

Pub patrons in one town last year had their fingerprints scanned as they walked in (bringing up their criminal records on a computer screen); some cities are considering putting electronic chips in household trash cans to measure output; a toll-free “smoke-free compliance line” takes snitch reports on violators of the new national ban on smoking in public places.

The DNA profile of every person arrested — even those briefly detained for, say, loitering, and released without charge — is on file in what is believed to be, per capita, the largest such database in the world, with 3.9 million samples. It includes the genetic markings of an estimated 40% of Britain’s black male population.

For the majority of Britons, polls show, there is nothing at all wrong with much of this monitoring.

“I didn’t know the camera was even up there until it started talking,” said Clive Anthony, who blinked and twirled for a moment one recent afternoon in downtown Gloucester when the CCTV camera started barking at something. “I haven’t got a problem with it, basically. To my mind, if you’re doing what you’re supposed to be doing and going about your business, just because somebody’s watching that, it’s not taking anything away from me.”

Public acceptance of closed-circuit television skyrocketed after the murder of toddler James Bulger near Liverpool in 1993. In CCTV footage that shocked the country, the killers, a pair of 10-year-old boys, were shown leading the trusting 2-year-old away from a shopping center.

“The last known sighting of this boy was on CCTV. And there was this kind of iconic image that was used to say, ‘If we had more CCTV, we would be more likely to spot horrible crimes like this,’ ” said Kirstie Ball, an expert on surveillance systems at Open University Business School in Milton Keynes. “It got to a point where if you were opposing CCTV, you were in favor of child murder.”

But a growing number of people, including some police officers and the country’s information commissioner, are beginning to wonder whether Britain isn’t watching itself too closely.

“Local communities are pushing very powerfully for closed-circuit television. What they say is, I may live in this little village that has no history of violent crime, but I’ll feel safer if I’ve got CCTV,” said Ian Readhead, deputy chief constable of the Hampshire police, who recently warned that Britain risks “an Orwellian situation with cameras on every street corner.”

“Suppose Mr. Brand is seen walking down the local street with Mrs. Wight. ‘What’s that about?’ someone will ask. And in a village environment, it begins to cause a rumor, it begins to cause intrigue,” he said in an interview. “You really only want to deploy this kind of equipment when you have clear knowledge of an identifiable situation, and when you’ve achieved your objectives, you want to take it down.”

In a worldwide survey conducted by Privacy International, a London-based civil rights group that monitors government infringement on privacy, Britain was roughly keeping company with Russia and China near the bottom, colored in black on a world map, with the U.S. not far behind, in red.

Britain has no written constitution, no bill of rights, and no privacy act. Its privacy protections are enforced mainly through the European Convention on Human Rights and a limited data protection law passed in 1998.

“In the area of visual surveillance, we are so far ahead of the field that it’s beyond measurement,” said Simon Davies, the group’s director. “If we had a color that moved from ‘black’ to ‘black hole,’ we’d be talking about” Britain.

The national information commissioner, Richard Thomas, has warned that Britain is “waking up in a surveillance society,” and has called for greater public discussion of what it really means to make one’s life a virtual open book.

“The U.K. has more CCTV cameras per head of population than any other country in the world, but it’s not only that,” Thomas said. “Every time we use mobile telephones, every time we use credit cards, every time we use the Internet for shopping or a search, every time we interact with the government for social security or taxes or passport checks, every time we go to our doctors or hospitals now, we are leaving an electronic footprint. And this of course is not just a U.K. issue, it is an international issue.”

Britain’s move into the era of biometric passports, national ID cards and face-recognition software coincided in many ways with America’s, and the advent of the Patriot Act. Britain had its own 9/11 — the simultaneous attacks on the London transport system in July 2005 that killed 52 people and wounded hundreds of others.

The use of warrantless wiretaps, a subject of court battles in the U.S., hardly produced a murmur here. Police in Britain almost never require a judge’s approval to listen in on people’s phones.

And Britain, unlike the U.S., requires telephone companies to retain their customers’ landline and cellphone records for at least 12 months for possible use by the government. Under regulations that took effect Oct. 1, the data are now available to more than 650 agencies, from tax and welfare authorities to local councils, in addition to the police.

And unlike the United States, where citizens may have medical record files gathering dust in clinics across three states that never talk to one another, Britain is in the midst of building a centralized, $24-billion databank containing the health records of 50 million citizens, billed as the biggest civil information technology project in the world.

The system is designed to provide access to patients’ medical history no matter where they are receiving treatment. But some patients have challenged it, worrying that in a databank so vast and potentially leaky, their confidential information could end up in the wrong hands. Faced with this opposition, the government has decided patients will be allowed to veto their records being shared nationally.

The police DNA databank has faced critics too. A man in Somerset has spent much of the last year battling the local police department over a permanent DNA record that was established for his 13-year-old son, who was briefly suspected of writing graffiti in the town center.

The man, who did not want to be identified in order to protect his son, said he brought the boy into the police station this year when he heard officers wanted to talk to him. “They realized that [he] didn’t have anything to do with it whatsoever, and the officer said, ‘You’re free to go.’

“Just before we left, he said, ‘Oh, by the way, by law we have to take your DNA.’ And I just couldn’t believe what was going on. It was like he was being treated like some kind of convict.”

Only recently, after the intervention of a civil rights organization, did the police department say the DNA file would be discarded. “We weren’t looking for any compensation,” the father said. “I’ve always had respect for the police. But I knew [my son] was innocent.”

In 2003, a 51-year-old Essex man won $39,600 in damages in a judgment from the European Court on Human Rights when CCTV footage of him attempting suicide on a public street was given to local newspapers and the BBC (which broadcast it to more than 9 million viewers on its “Crime Beat” program).

“It’s really a matter of dignity, and what it means to be a human being,” said Shami Chakrabarti, director of Liberty, the human rights organization that represented the Essex man in court.

“The problem we face is that we’re living in an age where we’re even having to make arguments about why torture is always wrong, about why people should be charged and tried before they’re imprisoned,” Chakrabarti said. “And whenever those values are being challenged, something like personal privacy becomes very difficult to defend.”

Government authorities say their new surveillance tools not only guard against terrorists, but also against welfare cheating, illegal immigration and the juvenile delinquents who pose a problem in many of Britain’s cities.

“The public don’t have a problem with being protected from thugs, or having CCTV cameras that catch murderers, or DNA that solves horrendous crimes that left victims and families without justice for 20 years,” former Prime Minister Tony Blair said, responding to growing concerns before leaving office. “But there must always be safeguards.”

Although studies have shown the CCTV cameras have had a negligible effect on crime in most areas where they’re placed — other than parking lots, where they do help prevent thefts — police say they are an invaluable tool in catching suspects after the fact, helping track missing children or the elderly and directing police to potential problem situations before they escalate.

Gloucester has been able to reduce the number of patrols because of the talking cameras, which are monitored at a center at police headquarters by an officer who speaks into the microphone from there.

The CCTV cameras not only talk, but they also can be linked to software that scans vehicle registration plates to track suspects through the city even before they have committed crimes.

“If there’s a criminal we’re interested in, not necessarily in a position to arrest him, but if you’re trying to track this criminal, learn his lifestyle, his movements, his vehicle number will be put into the system, and any time he comes into the city, his movements will be tracked,” said Roger Clayton, chief inspector of police in Gloucester.

“Arguably, what Roger’s just described is the debate: Is this picking on an individual?” said Matthews, the assistant chief constable.

“But if we know an individual with a record for offending is making their way toward an area where they’ve offended previously, and we have every reason to believe they’ll offend again, we’ll track them, and if they re-offend, we’ll catch them.”

These days, the wrongdoer sometimes is merely someone who gets caught riding a bicycle in the downtown pedestrians-only zone.

“Please dismount from the bicycle,” the offender is told, by someone, somewhere. They’re never sure who.

Israel Warns World War III May be Biblical War of Gog and Magog

The elder George Bush’s Skull and Bones secret name is ‘Magog’, a name given to those members with the most sexual experience. These names Gog and Magog represent fallen angels and demonic superpowers that will attempt to destroy humanity in the last days, according to the plan mapped out in the Bible, a book which is riddled with esoteric meanings hidden from “profane” understanding.

Gog and Magog are also depicted as giant demonic guardians of the masonic Templar/Zionist-controlled City of London which is at the center of global banking power. Traditionally, the “Lord Mayor” of the City took these guardian statues out every year, in a public masonic procession, presumably in a symbolic demonstration of their importance and power to the brotherhood. The tie-in of Gog and Magog with Freemasonry and other secret societies is therefore obvious.

They are working according to a long-range plan for a New World Order global government, a world whose populations are drastically reduced and whose remaining people are to become cyborg slaves of the global plantation. The banking elite planned out the last two world wars, funded all sides to engineer society and are about to embark on a third and final world war to seal the deal. In fact, we are already in the first stage of that war, which appears that it will last much longer than the first two world wars combined. It is all planned out and staged like a massive ritualistic play scripted by and for the elites.

Do not believe the disinformation of the masonic brotherhoods, their occultic offshoots and their many interlocking front groups. Freemasons are liars and con-artists having been trained in the black arts of psychological warfare in order to protect their dark secrets and personal interests. Because they enjoy the perks and the status that masonry affords them, they will do just about anything to keep their positions and so they protect the secrets at all costs. Not to mention the fact that they know that those above them will discipline them for any infractions against the rules.

On behalf of their aristocratic masters of the so-called “noble orders” such as the Knights of Malta and the Order of the Garter, the brotherhood groups are leading the whole of humanity into a trap from which it can’t easily escape. That is unless the people decide to wake up, out those whose allegiance is to these secret societies, uproot the criminals from their nests, demand their rights back, demand an end to these insane wars and put the world back onto a path of peace and harmony. And above all, we must not fall for the global government “solution” to the chaos, because that is what they want us to do.

Israel Warns World War III May be Biblical War of Gog and Magog

Israel National News | Oct 23, 2007

by Ezra HaLevi

(IsraelNN.com) US President George W. Bush said a nuclear Iran would mean World War III. Israeli newscasts featured Gog & Magog maps of the likely alignment of nations in that potential conflict.

Channel 2 and Channel 10 TV showed the world map, sketching the basic alignment of the two opposing axes in a coming world war, in a manner evoking associations of the Gog and Magog prophecy for many viewers. The prophecy of Gog and Magog refers to a great world war centered on the Holy Land and Jerusalem and first appears in the book of Yechezkel (Ezekiel).

On one side were Israel, the United States, Britain, France and Germany. On the other were Iran, Russia, China, Syria and North Korea.

US President Bush said Wednesday during a press conference that Iran attaining nuclear weapons raises the risk of “World War III.”

“If Iran had a nuclear weapon, it’d be a dangerous threat to world peace,” Bush said. “So I told people that if you’re interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested [in preventing a nuclear Iran]…I take the threat of Iran with a nuclear weapon very seriously.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Iran Tuesday and slammed the US’s refusal to rule out the use of force against Iran’s nuclear project. “Not only should we reject the use of force, but also the mention of force as a possibility,” he said.

Russia has blocked tougher UN sanctions in the UN Security Council, where it has veto power. The Russian president asserts that there is no evidence Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons rather than a peaceful nuclear power program.

Israel’s Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni called for a new Security Council resolution against Iran at a press conference following her meeting with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Wednesday. “I do believe there is a need for another Security Council resolution,” she told reporters. “In the past, the need to get everybody on board – including Russia and China – led to some compromises on the nature of the sanctions. I hope this will not be the case this time.”

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced Wednesday a sudden trip to Moscow Thursday morning, where he will meet with Putin about Iran. Other topics of discussion will reportedly be Russia’s continued supply of weapons to Syria, which have then made their way into the hands of various terrorist groups based there as well.

Gog and Magog
From Wikipedia
The tradition of Gog and Magog begins in the Hebrew Bible with the reference to Magog, son of Japheth, in the Book of Genesis and continues in cryptic prophecies in the War of Ezekiel 38-39, which are echoed in the Book of Revelation and in the Qur’an. The tradition is very ambiguous with even the very nature of the entities differing between sources. They are variously presented as men, supernatural beings (giants or demons), national groups, or lands. Gog and Magog occur widely in mythology and folklore.
