Kids set for ‘Matrix’ future

“It’s a very short route from wireless technology to actually getting the electrical connections in your brain to absorb that knowledge”

Children will learn by downloading information directly into their brains within 30 years, an education expert has predicted.

Chris Parry, the new chief executive of the Independent Schools Council, said “Matrix-style” technology would render traditional lessons obsolete.

He said: “It’s a very short route from wireless technology to actually getting the electrical connections in your brain to absorb that knowledge.”

He said the Keanu Reeves thriller may not look like science fiction in 30 years’ time.

“Within 30 years, sitting down and learning something will be a thing of the past,” Mr Parry said.

“I think people will be able to directly access, Matrix-style, all the vocabulary you need for a foreign language, leaving you just to clear up the grammar.”

Mr Parry is now preparing the ISC’s 1,300 private schools, which collectively teach half a million children, for a high-tech future.

  1. Lovely how business people like to push their agendas and “visions.” Never mind the profit. Never computer viruses or tasers either. Or security scans–and if an EMP bomb goes off–does that fry people along with the other electronics?

  2. Then there are those nasty computer viruses crashing their little brains, but no worries, all the kiddies with have anti-virus software wired into their brains at birth.

Look at the book “Heaven in a Chip” about replacing the human brain with microcircuitry. Look also at fascist CIA mind-control doctor Dr Jose Delgado’s 1960s quotes on controlling the human brain electronically because, “man does not have the right to control his own mind”. He said anyone who refuses would be “surgically mutilated”.

These are the characters behind all this shit and I don’t care what the transhumanist dirtbags say about it.

  3. Asimov wrote story decades ago–normal people got implanted learning–the “retarded” had to read books. Of course by the end of the story it was revealed to be the other way around–average people were given placebo like spin story, and the smart ones labeled as feeble, but they were the ones really designing and making things.

Even in the Star Trek cosmos they banned eugenics and bio-engineering. Though still had one world government and total surveillance and etc…

  4. Most of the scifi movies and books were and are predictive programming.

I would like to think the exceptions are books and movies like 1984, They Live, Fahrenheit 451, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, THX1138, Logan’s Run and others which served as warnings about the future. At least that was always the way I took them.

The things they talked about were taken by me as very evil things, the enslavement of the human mind, which were to be fought against with all our might, to be avoided at all costs. And yet, today the vast majority are either herded into this Matrix system with not even the slightest clue it is happening, or they are actively going along with it and promoting it.

  5. Well I used to view them as warnings, or “what if” scenarios. But last few years especially they seem like training/conditioning films.

I finally saw Cloverfield at the dollar theater. If I had seen it ten years ago it would have been one of my favorites. In some ways I still like aspects of it in spite of everything. Yet–early parts seemed the message was–in a crisis, feel helpless and wait for orders.

I don’t take orders very well.
