Two more teeth have been found in a cellar at the Haut de la Garenne former children’s home at the centre of an abuse probe, bringing the total discovery to 13.

Jersey Police said today that detectives were waiting for the results of forensic tests on the latest two teeth.

Tests on the teeth revealed that most were “very unlikely to have come out naturally before death”, a police statement said.

It added that the teeth had come from at least two children.

Police have also recovered at least 30 charred human bone fragments.

Of the bone fragments unearthed, tests have found that some were cut while others were burnt, indicating that homicide had taken place with the victims’ bodies possibly cremated in a fireplace.

A police spokeswoman said: “The sieving work continues.

“The departure date from Haut de la Garenne depends on the speed of sieving the mass of material waiting.

“This is dependent on the number of specialists available to us. There is a demand in Europe for them at present.

“There are still a number of things to be completed at the site yet and much will depend on the direction dictated by the various laboratory tests on the evidence.”

Haut de la Garenne became the centre of an historic abuse inquiry in February after the discovery of what was initially believed to be part of a child’s skull but was later thought to be wood or part of a coconut.

Following the find, scores of people came forward claiming they were abused at the home. Some talked of underground punishment rooms where they said they were drugged, raped and beaten.

Forensic teams subsequently uncovered a network of four secret underground chambers at the site where they found the teeth and bone fragments.

In other chambers, officers also found shackles, a blood-stained bath and the haunting message “I’ve been bad for years and years” scrawled on a wooden post.

Police have said there are more than 40 suspects.

Three men have been charged in connection with alleged child abuse at Haut de la Garenne.

A fourth man has also been arrested as part of the wider abuse inquiry.

  1. What shocking is how this is not making headlines around the country.

  2. That’s because this was an elite pedophile ring like the ones in Portugal and Belgium. Just one example:

Portugal’s elite linked to paedophile ring
A scandal over a paedophile ring run from a state orphanage gripped Portugal yesterday as it threatened to engulf diplomats, media personalities and senior politicians.

The media rarely reports on that. Top politicians and other elites used these kids. They would take them out on their yachts and I believe many of them were killed when they were done with them.

In Belgium, Marc Dutroux was a child pimp for the elite (judges, royals, police, politicians etc). He was allowed to keep a few kids for his own pleasure in his dungeon. I guess he got carried away, got too sloppy so they had to put him away to avoid further embarrassment. I believe it was a similar situation at the Jersey home. While the elites enjoyed the children in remote locations, the staff were allowed to have their own pleasure with certain kids and they snuffed them out right there in the dungeon.

    The pieces are coming together.

  3. I believe in cosmic justice.

    And eventual human justice too.
